With the snow and frigid temperatures recently, our backyard bird feeders were bombarded with Robins. When they weren't hanging out at the bird bath or gathered on and beneath the feeders, they were puffed up like little round balls on branches, shepherd hooks and even just sitting in the snow. I knew I'd have to paint one of these fat little birds!
Oh, and I'd never noticed the beautiful black and white pattern under their tails. So pretty!
