I'm still working from a photo shoot of Taylor from 2019, since I haven't been able to travel to visit her since that time. I chose this image because I loved how natural she looks...casual, unassuming, and unaware of how stunningly beautiful she is, inside and out!
Transported was accepted into the Northwest Watercolor Society Waterworks Online Membership Exhibition 2023 by Juror David R. Smith, where it received the First Place Award. “This painting shows the amazing transparent qualities of watercolor,” Smith said. The drips give the painting a creative spontaneity as though the artist threw it together. I’m impressed with the skill of the artist. Everything is deliberate to give it that wow factor and she’s captured an expression that makes me wonder what the subject is looking at.”
